Before Erik returned to work after the holidays, we were determined to suit up Bailey and take her on a snow shoeing adventure. After planning and packing, we headed into the mountains only to discover that it was frigid outside. What were we thinking? We encountered some kind ski patrol folks who told us in no uncertain terms that these were not safe conditions for an infant. Feeling disappointed and a bit naive, we left our snowshoes in the car and went to an underwhelming park where Erik climbed a mound of snow in the parking lot. Bailey clearly found the whole episode rather boring.
Fortunately, we had some snow in Seattle later that day!
