A family is born

With the birth of our daughter, Bailey Olive Carlson, June 1st at 7:45pm, we became a family! The facts: 7 lbs 4.4 oz, 18.75”, full head of dark brown hair, wide open blue eyes, and a cuddly disposition. We landed on her name several months ago. Bailey ‘cause we love the name and had fun trying it out in different scenarios... “Say it as you would hear it if she were 13 years old and her best friend was calling by phone to talk to her: ‘Um, hi, Mr. Carlson? Can I talk to Bailey?’” “Say it as you would hear it if she were on the soccer team and just scored a goal: ‘And the Panthers are up 1 point with a score by number 14, Bailey Carlson.’” It sounded perfect in a dozen or so scenarios. As for her middle name, we gave her the name Olive in honor of Woody’s mother, Olive Dillard (aka Dollye). So welcome to the world our Bailey, Junebugaboo, Baileyboo, Bumbleboo... She is truly spectacular, and we can’t wait for you to meet her!
